Charles Thomas Osborn

Osborn, Charles Thomas “Tommy” 78 known to family as “Pops” retired state employee died suddenly April 7, 2013. He leaves his wife of 53 years Anna Rose, three children Kathy Holmes & husband Howard, David Osborn & wife Cheryl, Shane Osborn & wife Angie, five grandchildren Thomas Waneck & wife Codi, Tiffany Pierce & husband Rusty, Derek Osborn, Avery Osborn, Colton Osborn and great granddaughter Sierra Waneck. He was born January 27, 1935 to Jeff & Lemma Osborn. Three surviving sisters are Mary Catherine Elliott, Julia Berdoll & Eileen Frank. He graduated Bastrop High School in 1953 then joined US Air Force and served 4 years. He married Anna Rose Wilhelm May 30, 1959. He attended University of Texas Austin then worked for the State Comptroller’s office until retiring at age 55. His retirement years were spent fishing, camping, gardening and drinking morning coffee in Rockne with friends. Those who knew him could always be assured of a funny comment or practical joke. Tommy looked forward to summer trips to Colorado or any time he could just “drive”. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Rockne with rosary at 7:00 pm on April 9, 2013 and funeral mass at 10:30 am on April 10, 2013.
