Doris Hefner

Doris Glass Hefner, our beloved mother and grandmother passed away Sunday, October 21st. Doris was born in Bastrop County on May 16, 1921 to Nolan and Katie Glass. She was married to Price Hefner on October 18th, 1938. They made their home in the Watterson community where they ranched for many years. Mother loved to cook and take care of her family. She was a charter member of Hills Prairie Baptist Church. Doris is survived by daughter Kay Jackson and her husband Terry Jackson, and daughter Shelley Glasgow and husband Ricky Glasgow. She is also survived by her only grandchild Chancey Glasgow. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers that provided love and support to our mother for many years, especially June Gordon, May Gordon, and Olivia Williams. We would also like to thank the staff at Bastrop Fresenius Dialysis including Jane James and Jeri Weltner for providing years of care and compassion. Services will be officiated by Rev. Jeff Jones on Wednesday, October 24th at 2:00 at Watterson Cemetery.
