Howard Earl Turner

Howard E. Turner of Bastrop, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. His passing was sudden and unexpected as he was actively rebuilding his and his family’s home and lives after the Bastrop Fires. He was 56 years old. Howard was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 2, 1956 to Edward Turner and Glenda Truitt Turner. Howard graduated from Richard King High School in Corpus and attended Del Mar College. He had a long career with Bealls Dept. Stores and had taken early retirement after 32 years of loyal service to the company. Recently he had managed local Dollar General Stores in Bastrop and Cedar Creek. Howard was an avid Hunter and Fisherman. He loved golf and spending time in the outdoors and with his family. He was deeply spiritual and loved God and sought him daily for God’s Will in his life. He brought his children up in a Christ centered home and was so proud of them for their hearts and love for God. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Jenny Turner, his son Jeffrey Turner, his son Jordan Turner, and his daughter Jayme Turner. He is also survived by his mother Glenda Turner and his sister Lyndel. He was blessed with Jenny’s family as well and loved her family deeply. Galatians 3:11 “The Just shall live by Faith” A life of Faith enables you to trust God increasingly with every detail of your life…and that is the life and path that Howard lived. He is resting in the Father’s arms and waits for the day his family will join him there. Funeral Service will be 6:00 pm Monday, October 15, 2012 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
