Derward Ken Kelly

Derward Ken Kelly, 86, of Bastrop was born October 27, 1925 and passed from this life on Monday, September 24, 2012. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucille Kelly, ten months ago. His heart went with her. He is survived by: his three children, son, Keith Kelly and daughters, Laura and Cynthia Kelly; two grandchildren, Amanda Horton and Kevin Dunn; three great-grandchildren; two cousins; and numerous nephews and nieces. As Mr. Kelly observed with his Irish wit, “At age 86, most of my relatives, all of my friends and even my doctors are dead”, so at his request, there will be no services. A special thanks though, to his final care-givers, Joyce and Lee. Mr. Kelly will rest in peace next to his Lucille at Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop, Texas.
