Robert Wayne Justice

Robert Wayne Justice, 62, of Bastrop, TX, passed peacefully in his sleep on the February7th, 2012. He was born on July 1st 1949 in Waco, TX to Norval and Juanita Justice. Robert graduated from Reagan High School in 1968. Upon graduation Robert enlisted in the US Navy and served aboard the USS Shangri La and supported the troops in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge he returned to Central Texas to work with his father building Texas highways. He married Sandra Barnard on March 7th, 1974 and they lived happily for the next 38 years. “Papa J” was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved fishing at Port O’Connor, watching the Dallas Cowboys, watching softball games, and pitching washers. Robert is survived by his devoted wife Sandra. Children: Chris and Tassie Justice, Renee and Chuck Davila, Robert Wm. and Monica Justice; and Jennie Justice and Eric Goertz. Grandchildren: Shawndra, Cody, Dylan, Emeril, Kwen, Tristen, Tyler, and Sophia. Great grandchildren: Rose Marie and Wyatt. Other survivors include his sisters Diane of Austin and Sandy of Bastrop. The family thanks the staff at Fresenius Medical Care in Bastrop and the doctors and nurses at Seton Medical Center Hays. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 11th at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home in Bastrop, TX. Viewing will begin at 11:00AM. A celebration honoring Robert will be held immediately after services at the Justice Family residence on Zimmerman Ave in Bastrop.
