Jesse Dodson

April 24, 1933 — December 18, 2011

Jess Dodson, 78, passed away December 18, 2011. Jess was a native of Texas and lived in Marble Falls since 1963. He was a Local Union 669 Sprinkler Fitter and retired in 1991. He enjoyed golfing, playing country music, and his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years LaVern, 3 sons: Rocky and wife Julie of Marble Falls, Steve and wife Judy of Bastrop, Gregg and partner John of Sunset Valley, and a sister Georgie Russell of Odessa, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and was preceded in death by 1 grandson who the Lord called to him at the early age of 20 months. When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want to rise in a gloom-filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little-but not too long And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that we once shared Miss me and let me go For this is a journey that we all must take And each must go alone. It’s all part of the Master’s plan A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart Go to the friends we know And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds Miss me but let me go. Jess’s desire was to be cremated and hold a family service. The Dodson family would like to thank everyone for their kind words, support, and prayers. .
