Laura Ann Ashley

Laura Ann Ashley, age 50, of Bastrop died Sunday, November 20, 2011 in a tragic auto accident. She was born September 23, 1961 in Austin to Hans and Wanda Hansen. She served as a Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1980 to 1983. Her duty was diesel mechanic. Laura was preceded in death by her father, Hans Hansen and grandparents, Robbie and William Schreffler. The family will receive guest at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 6 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, near McDade. She is survived by: her husband of 26 years, David Ashley; mother, Wanda Hansen; sons, Brian Brandal, Joshua Ashley, and Daniel Ashley; brothers, Ralph Hansen and Wayne Hansen; and a sister, Glenda Crysup. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
