MaryAlice Bonin, 73, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011.
She was born to the late Joe and Alice Begley, September 3, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY. MaryAlice graduated from High School in 1955 and finished some college courses at Austin Community College.
MaryAlice worked as an administrator for “Community Bound”, a non-profit organization that provided services for the mentally disabled in Austin, Texas for many years and then moved to Oregon to be with family. After two years, she returned to Texas and has been working for Brackenridge Hospital for the past 10 years.
MaryAlice was very passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
MaryAlice touched the life of so many people and tried to make life interesting and entertaining. She loved animals, gardening, music, dancing and fine Wine. Everyone one she met was touched by her vibrant fun loving spirit.
MaryAlice was also passionate about writing. She wrote some short stories but they were never published.
Unconditional love and acceptance is the legacy that MaryAlice leaves to her family and friends.
MaryAlice is survived by her brother, William Begley and wife Voula of Monroe, NJ. and four daughters: Justine and husband Joel Carlson of Frisco, TX., Patricia and husband Jay Frost of Houston, TX., Regina and husband Michael Lindsay of Jersey City, NJ. and Elizabeth Wright of Bastrop, TX. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her three dogs, “King Kong”, “Cocoa” and “Shorty”. Her granddaughter, Jessica Bonin is due in two weeks with twin girls.

A beautiful memorial service was held Friday, February 18, 2011 at Brackenridge Hospital.
